Shannon Zaychuk, PhD, RPsych.

Shannon is a master clinician with over 25 years of experience with IBP.  She is a psychotherapist, teacher, and workshop leader.

She began her career studying at the University of Calgary before moving into private practice.  Life events brought her to Integrative Body Psychotherapy and her experience with IBP was instrumental in shaping her approach to her work as a therapist which is characterized by authenticity, presence and an open heart.  The importance of attending to the relationship is both a foundation of IBP and a gift reflected in Shannon’s work.

Shannon trained to become an IBP teacher under Marjorie Rand who worked closely with Jack Rosenberg in the development of IBP.  She also was greatly influenced by the teachings and trainings of both Jack Rosenberg and Beverley Kitaen-Morse.  She trained at the Pacific North West IBP Institute and later became a visiting teacher from 2003 – 2013.  She was the Director of the IBP Calgary institute from 2001-2006.

Shannon’s interest in IBP led her to study the model’s foundational elements in a deeper way.  This study has led her to train and lead workshops in both Family Constellation work as well as pre and peri-natal process workshops as complimentary approaches that expand on and deepen such topics from IBP as the basic fault and the primary scenario.

Shannon is insightful, wise and deeply intuitive.  Her work has built upon and expanded the foundation provided by the creators of IBP.  Her work has supported the ongoing expansion of IBP in our own work.
