About KELLY

I love my work.  The opportunity to learn about and work with others in their process of discovering themselves, developing deeper awareness, and healing their lives, is a privilege I am grateful to experience and share.

I entered into Jungian analysis in my 20’s following the sudden death of a young man I loved and the dissolution of my graduate thesis research.  I valued the analytic process greatly; I had a deeper understanding of myself, my psyche and recognized my shadow, complexes and archetypes, however, I struggled to shift felt states in my body.

Eventually I needed a more somatic approach and found my way to Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP).  What stood out for me initially was that IBP gave me clear tools to change my state and how I felt in my body.  The emptiness in my chest or the feeling of my soul being pinned by an anvil shifted, and when it appeared again I had the skills and resources to release it again on my own.  These once common experiences in my body are no longer a part of my lived reality.  For this I am grateful.

I have children and stepchildren, a family, a history. I have travelled extensively and studied in India where I became more interested in spirituality and transpersonal experiences.  I learned to meditate at a young age and return to this practice regularly.  I live in a natural setting and find great comfort in mother earth.

My education includes a Commerce degree, a Masters in International Development and another in Counselling.  I am a Registered Psychologist and IBP Practitioner and Teacher.  I am currently enrolled in a doctoral program.  My treasured moments involve the numinous, awe, shifts in awareness and felt states of being, nature, laughter, love, music, good food and beauty.
